We are The Molecular Pathology Institute, based in Nigeria.Â
The Molecular Pathology Institute is an Independent Research Organization (IRO) focusing on genomic science, molecular diagnostics, and data science (US SIC Code 8732). It is a multi-disciplinary, not-for-profit, non-partisan IRO, limited by guarantee, RC1485899. It is registered with the Ministries of Health and Education in Nigeria. It is regulated by the Corporate Affairs Commission and the Ministries of Health and Education.Â

The MPI is designed to provide cutting-edge research and catalyze the growth of genomic science in Nigeria. Our research is both basic and applied.
It houses the Safety Molecular Pathology Laboratory, a leading Molecular Diagnostics laboratory, accredited by both the MLSCN and NCDC. It is a COVID 19 RNA PCR Testing Centre.
